Court Appeal


NBCTA is proud to introduce “Court Appeal”, a new program established with the help of law offices in Northern Berkshire County. The purpose of the program is to help keep at risk youth out of the court system and on the tennis courts. Life skills such as sportsmanship and nutrition along with rules and “game play” etiquette will be emphasized. The law offices are given the opportunity to sponsor a child for only $100; however, ANYONE can participate in this program. The cost of the sponsorship covers lessons, t-shirt, racket, and transportation fees for the child. Your sponsored child will attend and complete a tennis session held over the summer months and, if age appropriate, assist in at least one tennis session or shadow a mentor.

Neighborhood Tennis 2009

If you live in Mohawk Forest, Greylock Valley, and Brayton Hill neighborhoods come out and join us as we play games and demonstrate the fundamentals of tennis in your own backyard! Scholarships will be awarded to lucky participants. Also receive a certificate for a free hot dog & drink from the Hot Dog Ranch in North Adams. This event is free to neighborhood children ages 6 to 14. Thanks to the Hot Dog Ranch (310 State Street, NA) and the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition for their support with this program.
